A phase-field model with irradiation-enhanced diffusion for constituent redistribution in U-10wt%Zr metallic fuels

Constituent redistribution is a unique phenomenon to metal fuels that threatens the safety of such fuel forms. Therefore, it imperative establish models understand intrinsic mechanisms and predict kinetics. In this work, we derived conservative field equations phase-field model from near-equilibrium thermodynamic theory. A macroscopic constituent was developed by introducing effect irradiation on atom mobility temperature interface mobility. An expression phase boundary width, applicable both microscopic scenarios proposed. The interfacial parameters Zr concentration distribution near surface were discussed at last. These works may help characteristics promote application method in studying scenarios.
